Today, I’m talking about a time last week when I went to a parking garage. I’ve wanted to go here with my camera for a few weeks now. Mostly because as I walk by it to go to the gym it always looks so desolate and brutal. It’s all concrete but it’s always well lit. What do I want to Do Next Year?
Today, I spoke with Marcus, one of my advisors for my graduate program. We talked a little bit about where my thesis has ended up this semester. I’ll post some pictures along with that because I think it’s finally coming into something real that aligns with what I want it to do. I’m working on allowing people to continue their everyday life without too much disturbance in the event of a disaster. Particularly, I focus on flooding but the goal would also be something earthquake, fire, and even civil disobedience. What this becomes is a series of connections between buildings elevated above the ground. This becomes a system of water, electricity, and people movement. Everything that normally would have been damaged, instead elevated and protected.

Hey, I don’t know who reads this but if you like statistics then this is the very first time I’ve been in late in making a post in almost a year. Isn’t that something?
